Hoeveel kan ik bieden?

Je kunt bieden vanaf het bedrag dat bij de start van de veiling bij het item is vermeld. Met vastgestelde, minimale biedstappen kun je bieden. De prijzen zijn inclusief BTW, tenzij anders aangegeven.

Wat zijn de minimale biedstappen bij het bieden?

Ik krijg de melding dat mijn bod hoger moet zijn dan het minimumbod. Hoe kan dat?

Je hebt dan minder dan de minimale biedstap geboden.

Veiling- en handlingkosten koper

Let op: er worden veiling- en handlingkosten bovenop je bod in rekening gebracht. Welke kosten dat zijn, krijg je altijd te zien voordat je je bod definitief bevestigt. Als je het item wilt laten verzenden, komen ook die kosten bovenop het aankoopbedrag.

Kan ik mijn bod ongedaan maken?

Ieder bod op een veiling is bindend  en onherroepelijk. Indien je de hoogste bieder bent en jouw bod wordt aanvaard, dan ben je verplicht de transactie te voldoen. Voor meer informatie hierover verwijzen wij je naar de Algemene Voorwaarden.

Hoe weet ik dat ik overboden ben?

Dit kun je terugvinden op de pagina van het betreffende item. Ook kun je bij “Mijn biedingen” (onder "Mijn account") zien of je voor een bepaald veilingitem bent overboden.

Wat gebeurt er als ik het hoogste bod heb uitgebracht?

Je ontvangt een e-mail ter bevestiging. Daarin staat een link in om te betalen en aan te geven of je de aankoop wilt laten verzenden. Bij “Mijn bestellingen” (onder "Mijn account") kun je ook betalen.

Ik heb geen e-mail ter bevestiging ontvangen over mijn gewonnen item. Hoe kan dit?

Om uiteenlopende redenen kan het gebeuren dat een e-mail niet (op tijd) wordt bezorgd. Kijk eerst na inloggen op “Mijn bestellingen” (onder "Mijn account") of het item hier is vermeld. Je kunt hier de factuur downloaden en betalen. Als je je gewonnen item niet terugziet en je weet zeker dat je de hoogste bieder was, neem dan contact op via veilingenvankunst@veilet.com onder vermelding van je naam, de betreffende veiling en het bod dat je hebt uitgebracht.

Hoe weet ik wat verzendkosten zijn voor het item waar ik op wil bieden?

Bij elk item dat verzonden kan worden, staan de verzendkosten vermeld. Als een item niet verzonden kan worden, staat dit ook vermeld.

De verzendkosten hangen onder andere af van het formaat, het gewicht en de kwetsbaarheid van een item. Wanneer je meerdere items tegelijk naar hetzelfde adres laat verzenden, krijg je korting.

Waarom wordt een veiling verlengd?

Een veiling wordt alleen verlengd als er in de laatste 5 minuten nog een bod wordt uitgebracht. Dit gebeurt om  iedere bieder een eerlijke kans te geven om nogmaals het laatste bod te overbieden.  Dit gebeurt bij alle veilingen.

Wat kan ik met een Autobod doen?

Met een Autobod kun je in één keer een bedrag bieden dat je maximaal voor een item zou willen betalen, zonder dat je moet wachten tot de veiling is afgelopen.

Wat is automatisch bieden?

Na het plaatsen van een Autobod wordt, indien nodig, automatisch je bod met het volgende minimumbod verhoogd, zodat je weer de hoogste bieder bent. Het systeem biedt tot aan het door jou aangegeven maximale bedrag.

Hoe werkt het Autobod?

Voer bij ''Maximaal'' het bedrag in dat jij maximaal voor een item wil betalen en klik op “OK”. Als je nog niet de hoogste bieder bent, wordt er automatisch het volgende minimumbod geboden.

Voorbeeld: Een andere bieder dan jij heeft het hoogste bod op de veiling, €300. Jij wil maximaal €320 bieden en stelt het Autobod in op €320. Het volgende minimumbod is €310. Namens jou wordt er dan €310 euro geboden, zodat jij de hoogste bieder bent. NB: Dit bedrag is exclusief veiling- en handlingkosten.

Wat gebeurt er als iemand een bod uitbrengt met hetzelfde bedrag als mijn Autobod?

Jouw bod krijgt voorrang. Namens jou wordt dus het bedrag van jouw Autobod geboden.

Wat gebeurt er als iemand een bod uitbrengt dat hoger is dan mijn Autobod?

Het Autobod stopt met bieden als jouw maximale bod is bereikt. Wanneer iemand anders een bod uitbrengt dat hoger is dan jouw Autobod ben jij niet meer de hoogste bieder. Je ontvangt dan een e-mail dat je bent overboden.

Kan ik een Autobod uitbrengen als ik al het hoogste bod heb?

Ja, dat kan. Dit is erg handig als je het hoogste bod al hebt, maar je niet aanwezig kunt zijn tot de veiling afloopt. Wanneer er bij het aflopen van de veiling weer een bod wordt uitgebracht, biedt het Autobod direct hoger (tot jouw maximale bod) en ben jij alsnog de hoogste bieder.

Wat gebeurt er als mijn maximale Autobod lager is dan het volgende minimumbod?

Wanneer het maximale bedrag van jouw Autobod lager is dan het volgende minimumbod, wordt jouw maximale bedrag geboden. Er wordt dan dus van de minimale biedstappen afgeweken.

Voorbeeld: Je hebt een Autobod van €300 ingesteld. Iemand anders biedt €295. Namens jou wordt er dan €300 geboden, ook al is het volgende minimumbod op dat moment €305.

Kan ik meer dan één Autobod instellen?

Per item kun je maar één Autobod instellen. Je kunt voor meerdere items een autobod plaatsen.

Kan ik mijn Autobod intrekken?

Ja, er staat een knop "Uitzetten" op de pagina van het betreffende veilingitem.

Kan ik mijn Autobod verlagen?

Ja, je kunt het automatische bod verlagen door je Autobod in te trekken en daarna een nieuw Autobod te plaatsen. Je kunt het bod intrekken met knop "Uitzetten" op de pagina van het betreffende veilingitem.

Wie kan mijn Autobod zien?

Het maximale bod van jouw Autobod is niet zichtbaar voor andere bieders. Alleen in uitzonderlijke situaties waarbij het nodig is om het biedverloop te analyseren, kunnen medewerkers van Veilingen van Kunst je ingestelde Autobod bekijken.

Biedt mijn Autobod door in de verlenging?

Het Autobod blijft ook tijdens de verlenging van de veiling andere bieders overbieden tot aan het maximale bedrag van jouw Autobod.

Hoe kan ik bieden op een item met vaste prijs?

Sommige items op de veiling worden verkocht voor een vastgestelde prijs; dat wordt duidelijk aangegeven. Klik op de knop "Kopen" en je ziet wat het totale aankoopbedrag is, inclusief veilingkosten. Klik vervolgens op "direct kopen". Als jij de eerste bent, is het item voor jou.

How much can I bid?

You can bid from the amount stated with the item at the start of the auction. You can bid with set, minimum bidding steps. The prices include VAT, unless stated otherwise.

What are the minimum bidding steps when bidding?

Can I undo my bid?

Every bid on an auction is binding and irrevocable. If you are the highest bidder and your bid is accepted, you are obliged to pay the transaction. For more information about this, please refer to the General Terms and Conditions.

How do I know I've been outbid?

You can find this on the page of the relevant item. You can also see at “My bids” (under "My account") whether you have been outbid for a certain auction item.

What happens if I have made the highest bid?

You will receive an email for confirmation. It contains a link to pay and to indicate whether you want to have the purchase shipped. You can also pay at “My orders” (under "My account").

I have not received an email confirmation about my won item. How is this possible?

For various reasons, it can happen that an e-mail is not delivered (on time). After logging in to “My orders” (under "My account"), first check whether the item is listed here. You can download and pay the invoice here. If you do not see your won item again and you are sure that you were the highest bidder, please contact auctionsvankunst@veilet.com stating your name, the relevant auction and the bid you made.

How do I know the shipping costs for the item I want to bid on?

The shipping costs are stated for each item that can be shipped. If an item cannot be shipped, this will also be stated.

The shipping costs depend, among other things, on the size, weight and vulnerability of an item. When you have multiple items shipped to the same address at the same time, you get a discount.

Why is an auction extended?

An auction will only be extended if another bid is placed in the last 5 minutes. This is done to give each bidder a fair chance to outbid the last bid again. This happens at all auctions.

What can I do with an Autobid?

With an Autobid you can bid the maximum amount you would like to pay for an item in one go, without having to wait for the auction to end.

What is automatic bidding?

After placing an Autobid, if necessary, your bid will be automatically increased by the next minimum bid, so that you are again the highest bidder. The system offers up to the maximum amount you specify.

How does the Autobid work?

Enter the maximum amount you want to pay for an item at ''Maximum'' and click on “OK”. If you are not yet the highest bidder, the next minimum bid will be automatically bid.

Example: A bidder other than you has the highest bid on the auction, $300. You want to bid a maximum of €320 and set the Autobid to €320. The next minimum bid is €310. €310 euros will then be offered on your behalf, so that you are the highest bidder. NB: This amount does not include auction and handling costs.

What happens if someone makes a bid with the same amount as my Autobid?

Your bid takes priority. The amount of your Autobid is therefore offered on your behalf.

What happens if someone places a bid that is higher than my Autobid?

The Autobid stops bidding when your maximum bid has been reached. When someone else makes a bid that is higher than your Autobid, you are no longer the highest bidder. You will then receive an email that you have been outbid.

Can I place an Autobid if I already have the highest bid?

Yes, that's possible. This is very useful if you already have the highest bid, but you can't be there until the auction ends. When a bid is made again at the end of the auction, the Autobid immediately bids higher (up to your maximum bid) and you are still the highest bidder.

What happens if my maximum Autobid is lower than the next minimum bid?

When the maximum amount of your Autobid is lower than the next minimum bid, your maximum amount will be bid. In that case, the minimum bidding steps are deviated from.

Example: You have set an Autobid of €300. Someone else bids €295. €300 will be bid on your behalf, even if the next minimum bid is €305 at that time.

Can I set up more than one Autobid?

You can only set one Autobid per item. You can place an auto bid for multiple items.

Can I withdraw my Autobid?

Yes, there is a "Disable" button on the auction item's page.

Can I lower my Autobid?

Yes, you can lower the automatic bid by withdrawing your Autobid and then placing a new Autobid. You can withdraw the bid with the "Switch off" button on the page of the relevant auction item.

Who can see my Autobid?

The maximum bid of your Autobid is not visible to other bidders. Only in exceptional situations where it is necessary to analyze the bidding process, employees of Veilingen van Kunst can view your set Autobid.

Does my Autobid continue in the extension?

The Autobid will continue to outbid other bidders during the extension of the auction up to the maximum amount of your Autobid.

How can I bid on a fixed price item?

Some items in the auction are sold for a set price; that is clearly indicated. Click on the "Buy" button and you will see the total purchase amount, including auction costs. Then click on "buy directly". If you are the first, the item is yours.
